2021 Season
Miracle on Route 66
By Valerie Speaks, Directed by Adam McCollough
In this holiday comedy, the audience is attending an invitational dress rehearsal for Sapulsatoosa Theater’s annual production of “An Oklahoma Christmas Carol,” set in 1945. But immediately, things start to go wrong. Actors forget their lines, the set keeps falling apart, and strange noises come from backstage.
Are these just the kind of things that happen at dress rehearsal, or is the theater’s resident ghost getting in on the act? Will the stage manager figure out a solution in time to save the show? Will the spirit of Christmas reign over Scrooge and the entire cast?
If you like “Noises Off” or “The Play That Goes Wrong,” you will love this gift to community theatres. And, as an audience member, YOU will play a crucial role in bringing about the much-needed “Miracle on Route 66.”
