Covid Restrictions: For Auditions, Actors must wear a mask at al times.  When an actor is on stage, they may take off the mask as long as a 6 foot distance is maintained.

Rehearsals:  Each cast member will be given ONE face shield. Face shields or masks must be worn during rehearsals.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Stage crew will also be required to wear a mask or face shield.

Murder By The Book

Auditions for this murder mystery will be held at Sapulpa Community Theatre, 124 S Water St, on Saturday, December 11, at 2pm and Monday, December 13th at 6:30pm.

Various ages 20+ for 4 Males and 6 Females

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Some characters will require a British accent.

Character descriptions:

Edgar Allen Poe: late thirties, the famous poet and short story writer

William Shakespeare: twenties, the great playwright

Mark Twain: late sixties the American humorist and novelist

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: forties, creator of Sherlock Holmes

Agatha Christie: sixties, the famous British mystery writer

Mary Shelley: twenties, author of "Frankenstein," wife of Percy

Charlotte Bronte: late twenties, the author of "Jane Eyre"

Louisa Mae Alcott: thirties, the creator of "Little Women"

Emily Dickenson: thirties, American poet

Violia Danglon: fifties, housekeeper

Show Dates: 

March 4-6,;11-13, 2022

Friday and Saturday show times are at 7:30pm

Sundays are 2pm

Drug and Alcohol Policy: 

Actors and all Stage crew must agree to:

Unlawful manufacture, distribution, dispensing, possession or the use of a controlled substance or alcohol is prohibited at the theatre or on the grounds of the theatre property. Any violation of this policy will be grounds for immediate dismissal of role or duty at the theatre.

Actors and all Stage crew must let the Board of Directors Presiding Officer know of any criminal drug or alcohol statute conviction for a violation occurring at the theatre no later than five days after each conviction.

We do not discriminate against any prior convictions and encourage all interested people to audition or volunteer. All actors and volunteers will sign a notice of the policy at the beginning of their volunteering or casting.
